Alexander
V. Bibicheff, Lead Attorney and Owner
Mr.
Bibicheff is an attorney with 18 years of
litigation experience. For more than 10
years, Mr. Bibicheff has focused his practice
on Immigration Law, becoming an expert as
well as an author in the field. Mr. Bibicheff
has won thousands of immigration cases including
removal defense, political asylum, cancellation
of removal/deportation, battered (abused)
spouse self-petitions (VAWA), adjustment
of status through family-based and employment-based
petitions, labor certification, naturalization
and various non-immigrant visa cases as
well as Writ of Mandamus actions.
Mr. Bibicheff
also has extensive and highly specialized
experience in suing the United States Government
and its agencies for their delay in the
adjudication of various petitions including
naturalization petitions as well as immigrant
visas for spouses, children, and step-children
in U.S. consulates abroad. One such case
in Writ of Mandamus nature, in which Mr.
Bibicheff sued the FBI and USCIS and won
a green card for his client (Nigmadzhanov
v. Mueller, 07 Civ. 1279) was featured on
the front page of New York Law Journal due
to its unique nature. Notably, Mr. Bibicheff
also sued the U.S. Federal Government regarding
the ability for surviving spouses who had
been married for less than two years prior
to the passing of their U.S. Citizen and
Lawful Permanent Resident (green-card holder)
spouses to become Lawful Permanent Residents,
and upon the change in law allowing such
surviving spouses to adjust their status
on October of 2009, successfully handled
one of the first such adjustment of status
cases just days later.

R. Abruzzo, Associate Attorney
Ms.
Abruzzo joined Bibicheff & Associates,
P.C. in May of 2009, where she provides
representation in a wide-spectrum of immigration
cases at all levels, including U.S. Courts
of Appeal, U.S. District Courts, the Board
of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”), Immigration
Courts and the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration
Services (“USCIS”). Ms. Abruzzo has successfully
litigated removal defense cases before immigration
courts in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut
and has succeeded in numerous applications
for adjustment of status (green card) and
VAWA (battered spouse) cases filed with
the USCIS. Moreover, Ms. Abruzzo has succeeded
in several Motions to Reopen proceedings
before the BIA and Immigration Courts.
Previously,
Ms. Abruzzo was an Attorney Advisor for
the New York Immigration Court and helped
Immigration Judges draft decisions regarding
issues such as political asylum, cancellation
of removal, the impact of criminal convictions
and suppression of evidence. Then, Ms. Abruzzo
practiced employment-based immigration law
focusing on H-1B (temporary worker in specialty
occupation), L-1A (executive/manager intra-company
transferee), and O (extraordinary ability)
non-immigrant visa cases. Ms. Abruzzo also
volunteered with a New York City based non-profit
organization helping battered immigrant
women obtain Green Cards.
